PUREX NO SORT DETERGENT REVIEW & GIVEAWAY *CLOSED*

purex1

As a Purex Insider they sometimes send me new products to try and this time I was sent a bottle of their new No Sort Detergent.  I was really hoping to get picked for this mission since I do a lot of laundry but seldom have many whites and I don’t much like washing little loads…..which usually mean the whites sit in the laundry hamper longer than they probably should.  How great it would be if this stuff really worked and I could just throw them all in the washer together.   So as skeptical as I was I decided to give it a try….but I will admit that I used a white t-shirt and a pair of socks that my husband didn’t care if they did turn pink….just in case….

Now the scary part…..I put the clothes in the washer…and it about killed me to put the red and the white in together I must say…..I put in the detergent and went about my business very curious as to how this would turn out…..

purex2

They finished their cycle and I transferred them to the dryer…..being wet I couldn’t tell for sure yet if there was any color transfer but they looked pretty good…..I didn’t really notice any pink.  Hmmm….this just may work …….

purex 3

FINALLY they were dry and I could see the results….. Wow!  It worked!!  The shirt and socks are both still just as white as they were when they went in.   There is absolutely no color transfer at all!!  I am impressed and  happy that now I can just wash the clothes and not have to wait until I have enough whites for a load of their own.  Thanks Purex for a wonderfully innovative new product!!  I am a fan!

AND NOW FOR THE GIVEAWAY!!

Since Purex Insiders was also kind enough to send me some coupons for a free bottle of the new No Sort detergent I have decided to give one of them to a fan of Bella’s Blog

purex5

To be entered to win this great coupon simply comment right here on the blog  (Not on Facebook)  and tell me what is the worst laundry mishap you have had.   Did you turn a load pink because you didn’t see the red sock hidden in the pile?  Maybe you added too much detergent and had bubbles everywhere?  Just tell me what happened….or make something up….I don’t care….just make it about laundry or Purex and I will count it 🙂  No random comments will be accepted.  (When you comment it will have to go to moderation so you won’t see your comment right away….but no worries…I usually get them fairly quickly)

I will number the entries as they come in and then at the end of the giveaway I will use Random Number Generator to choose the winning entry.  Only one comment will count per person and you must be a fan of Bella’s Blog on Facebook to be eligible to win.  This giveaway starts now and will run until Tuesday, April 15th at 8:00 pm. 2. Debbie Rhoades says:

I have turned an entire load of whites hot pink from a hidden red sock! I was highly upset!

    • bellahogue13 says:

  3. Roxanne Penn says:

My husband washed my DRY CLEAN ONLY dress. It didn’t survive the wash 🙁

  4. Tiffani P. says:

I have turned whites pink before and one time I was trying to get stains out f a couple of my sons shirts and grabbed the cleaner with bleach instead of the shout. I sprayed both shirts before I realized it. Oops. But now I double check the bottle every time.

  5. Edna Myers says:

All I can say is real men wear pink undies… right??? LOL yeah it happens often here.

  6. Jasmine V says:

accidentally put some white shirts into a colored group while washing :/

  7. We have guinea pigs and in the bottom of their cage I use fleece blankets. Well normally I wash those loads separate because well.. they stink. I accidentally got one mixed in with the towel load. Oh man, I had to wash all the towels like three times before we could use them again. Now I make sure before I put my towels in.

  8. Darcy Panak says:

Hmmmm…..lots of mishaps! Lol I guess the worst was washing a dark shirt with a light colored one and getting nasty dark splotches all over the light colored one. Ruined it.

  9. Jennifer Haffner says:

I do all of the laundry in our household but I don’t check pockets. My mother didn’t and neither do I. Even though my husband knows this, I have sent his wallet through the wash quite a few times. Well one day I washed a load of our laundry and threw it in the dryer without noticing anything wrong but when I went to pull it out there was ink everywhere! All over both of our clothes and all over the inside of our dryer. Apparently my husband left a pen in his pocket and it exploded in our dryer from the heat. I was so angry and yelled at him about it for a while because I had to wipe out our dryer with numerous different things (nail polish remover, paint thinner, isopropyl alcohol, etc.) to get it out. It took about 5 hours and I was never able to really save any of the clothes. I told him the next time he left anything in his pockets I wasn’t going to do his laundry anymore and he could do it himself. I know he didn’t do it on purpose but probably looks back on it as a little revenge for me washing his wallet so many times but what he doesn’t know is that now I secretly check his pockets before washing his clothes.

    • bellahogue13 says:

I don’t check pockets either, my hubby knows this too, but I think I may start now! Ugh that’s awful! I would have made him get it out of the dryer though! You are entry #71

  15. kendra hardcastle says:

  16. Gina Garnett says:

Ok, I’m admitting this here for the first time LOL I actually washed a brand new pair of dark wash jeans (accidentally) with a load of t-shirts and other clothes. I will say that indigo dye is SOOOOO hard to remove from clothing. But I can say the blue t-shirts never looked bluer LOL

  20. sapphire says:

The worst? I’m still learning how to do laundry. Who knew you actually have to listen to the instructions on the tags. I just thought it was an option. Mixing and matching clothes turned into a nightmare of color explosion in my washer. Oops.

    • bellahogue13 says:

LOL yea I too found out the hard way that the instructions are there for a reason. You are entry #60

  21. Roxie mcgilberry says:

I felt bad his sister did end up showing me how to use bleach properly since my mom never showed me!

  30. Jackie Wolinski says:

  32. ive bleached, I’ve shrunk, and the worst thing is…We have well water, and sometimes when you let it run it gets muddy… i still have to rewash the clothes cuz they look like someones wallered in red clay mud! LOL its horrible!!

  33. This sounds so nice for when my husband does laundry. He tries to sort but does not always do it correctly so sometimes the clothes come out with a tinge to them. I would put this one off to the side only for him to use. LOL that way my clothes come out clean like when I do them. Thank you for doing the review for us and then passing this great product on to us.

    • bellahogue13 says:

  48. When my husband and I first got married he tried to do the laundry and thought you put bleach in everything to kill germs and make clothes cleaner. Um yeah all my jeans had bleach spots on them even though this was the late 80’s it was kind of in style just not as bad as ours looked. LMAO.

I do my husband’s police uniforms and the are khaki colored polyester blend somehow my dogs red chew toy that he loved got mixed in with the uniforms and they came out with red splotches all over them-the dog toy came out a bit worst than before but the pups grabbed it and ran. 67. Carol Yemola says:

When I was first married, I didn’t have a clue how to do laundry. My hubby had (yes … I said had) a beautiful wool sweater. I thought that the best way to get it really clean was to wash in hot water! And then I put it in the dryer!!!! By the time I was done, the adult size XL wool sweater became a youthful size S!!!

  68. As a Mom of three kids, twin 13 year old boys and a 10 year old daughter, and a husband who works outside, I am always doing laundry. Today was 9 hours and still going. Where do all these clothes come from?? Between sports, school, a husband who wears 20 layers at a time and takes it off all in one pile, and a daughter who changes constantly and puts clean clothes with dirty, I have had it!!! Im done sorting, folding, drying, and putting it all away. Well I also gave up on going though pockets! BIG MISTAKE!!! I have washed chapstick, crayons, markers, lipstick, and various food. My clothes are full of spots, grease you name it. I have bleached many items to the point were it has eaten items of clothing. I lie to the kids when they ask about a certain shirt, that I don’t know where it is. I know it is in laundry heaven.

It walked fun for a few hours but was otherwise fine, still have it, won’t fit in pockets any longer. Needless to say all pockets are checked before washing these days!

  72. Joanna Cappellini says:

One time, a couple years ago my Mom did the laundry, all 3 of our clothes. She did these baby blue pants that I love with other clothes. When the washer was done, she took them out to put them in the dryer. I was in the kitchen right next to the washer while she was doing this, I glanced over and seen my baby blue pants with white spots all over it. I said, what is that?! I guess she tossed them in by accident with all the other whites and bleach. I was so mad! She just shrugged it off and said, “It looks like it’s supposed to be there, kind of like it’s tie-dyed.” I’m like, “Oh, but god forbid if they were YOUR pants, you’d be FREAKING!” Another time, it was over 6 years ago, I did my favorite sweater, put it in the dryer, not thinking it’s that kind of material that’ll shrink. I took it out after it was dried and my jaw dropped. It looked like a baby dolls sweater! It was so small. That was when my Mom decided to not let me wash anyone elses clothes except for mine, lol. Then, she ruined my baby blue pants, lol. …

    • bellahogue13 says:

Oh wow! I bet she would have felt different if they were hers! And I’ve done the same thing to a sweater! You are entry #11
